2023.06.05 09:22 Significant-Notice- Pristina notes

Imagine a third-tier Ottoman city, accidentally elevated to the status of a national capital, and you have Pristina. Furthermore, that is a pretty good thing! The town is charming, walkable, and has first-rate street and cafe life. There is one good monastery nearby and some quality Brutalist architecture. My favorite site was the National Library of Kosovo:
Here are additional views of the building, is it fair to call it one of the greatest Communist achievements of Yugoslavia? 1982.
Government debt is only about five percent of gdp. I am not sure how accurate is the data, but growth rates are not so bad. The country has about 5k per capita gdp, but about 15k PPP-adjusted, that is a large gap and maybe the truth lies somewhere in between.
Might this be the cheapest country in all of Europe? I had one good meal in a nice restaurant with nice decor for only five euros.
Tiffany served the tastiest and also most representative meal, there is no menu and they simply bring you what they have. The food is in general excellent, though not varied. Be ready for meats, sausage, cheese, tomato, kebab, green and red peppers, and bread. There is pasta too, but few other foreign offerings. I didn’t see any Asian food whatsoever, or any international fast food chains, or any Starbucks.
Throughout the town you find scattered statues, such as the obligatory Mother Teresa, and the others of very masculine heroes, often labeled explicitly as “heroes.” The quotient for sexual dimorphism is reasonably high.
It is quite safe, so more people should visit. In three days I saw zero tourists. It is not a “thrills destination,” but where else can you ponder all the historical reasons why, for so long, a “Greater Albania” has proven impossible?
Cheat sheet of neighboring countries:
Serbia: Feels imperial, “seen better days,” no longer a transport hub, looks toward Moscow.
North Macedonia: Stands a bit apart, closer to Bulgarian culture, less recent historical trauma, more right-wing and pro-U.S., keen to integrate with the West.
Albania: Tenacious, spent decades lost in the wilderness, never been able to “play its hand” on that Greater Albania thing, did it ever recover from the fall of Venetian Albania?
Few parts of the world are more interesting, or unsettling. All of these are great countries to visit.

If your agency is making between $10-30k per month, you’re sitting on an absolute goldmine and you have no idea.
After running my agency for 4 years, delivering over $100M worth of value to my clients, and generating 8 figures in total revenue, I’ve realized that any agency can be a massive business with the right mechanisms in place.
When I began building my agency in 2018, it was a good business for me and my partner.
It put food on the table, and we were able to help to grow other businesses that we were passionate about.
We didn’t realize at the time that the only thing keeping us at the mid-6-figure per year mark was our own mental blockages.
Just about any agency can be an 8-figure a year endeavor, especially if you do it the way that we’ve done it.
Most agency owners in the $10-30k per month range operate within a freelancer mindset.
You struggle with hiring, you struggle with building processes, and you struggle with scaling.
You do not have a demand problem.
For every agency, there are at least 500 potential clients with a problem that your agency can solve, and they’re willing to pay good money for you to do so.
With the right offer, 100-200 clients will be enough for you to have an 8-figure a year company that will sell for a multiple that could be in the range of 6-12X.
This course consists of 10 modules with text and video, plus 3 bonus modules that outline everything you need to know about:
  • Building systems for scaling fast
  • How to diversify your lead generation to never have an empty pipeline again
  • Assembling a team of people who care about your company’s vision as much as you
  • Remaining profitable as you scale
  • Avoiding mistakes at the intermediate and advanced levels with your business
  • The steps you need to take to sell your agency for 8+ figures
As long as you have an offer that’s proven to work in an industry that’s likely to continue to exist in 10 years, you have a multi-million dollar opportunity at your fingertips.
At the $10-30k a month level with an agency, you’re currently working harder than you will be at $100k a month.
The good news is, you’re only a few months away from hitting that target profitably if you do exactly what I outline in this course.
After thousands of mistakes in the building process, I know exactly what I’d do if I had to start from zero.
If you’re just starting, you have the opportunity to build everything right and avoid 90% of the mistakes that we made in the early days.
Instead of taking 4 years to scale to ~8 figures like my team and I did, you could potentially do it in half the time.
Before you buy, you need to understand this.
This course will work for any agency in the digital space, but it is not for beginners.
This is not to show you how to land your first client and find your niche.
This will only work if you have at least 2-4 clients and you already understand your offer.
My strategies for client acquisition, client retention, offer structure, team building, and systems will only work if you already have the foundations in place.
If you’re above $60k a year but below $1M a year, this will work for you.
Inside, I also share information about my agency that I’ve never shared before.
I do a deep dive into everything that’s allowed us to scale from high-6-figures in 2019 to high-7-figures in 2021.
Everything from the way you need to think about things, to the way you need to execute things.
I leave nothing out of this.
If you’re ready to scale your agency from $10-30k a month up to 6 figures a month, click below to get access to everything you’ll ever need today.

2023.06.05 08:46 pacifiersaver Easy dinner ideas- 9 month old

Hello all.
I have a 9 month old baby who loves her solid food. Started with blended purees, now I am just smashing with the fork. I just realized that for dinner, I just give her yoghurt with seeds, nuts or banana, polenta boiled in milk with mascarpone or quinoa. Do you have any dinner recipies that are fast ( raising baby alone)? I gave her all alergens except sea fruit.
Thank you😊

2023.06.05 08:32 Kw33nKhaos My son refused my last bottle of breastmilk.

He's 2 weeks past his first birthday. Breastfeeding was the biggest rollercoaster of parenting so far. From difficulties latching, to his tongue tie release, to learning to be comfortable with public feedings, then teeth! Plus many experiences in between.
I'm so thankful we did it. He turned a year old and I was proud that we hit that milestone but felt I did my best and didn't need to go on any longer. Being back at work and pumping was exhausting.
He loves food. He isn't afraid to try anything new and I'm really not worried about him getting the nutrients he needs.
We've been going through my freezer stash for his bedtime feedings and tonight was our last one. We did our usual bedtime routine but he then decided he didn't want the bottle and refused it altogether. I was heartbroken. I kissed him and kissed him again and hugged him and told him I loved him then handed him to my husband to put down. I then went into the backyard and bawled my eyes out.
This is so him. He knows exactly what he wants and doesn't want. I'm so proud of the strong little guy he's becoming but it doesn't make it any easier that it seems to be happening so fast. I wasn't ready for this but apparently he was.
How the heck am I going to survive his first day at school?

2023.06.05 08:25 Gandalf-108 Evening Mischa, You're Fired!

Hello everyone, I'm Mischa. Inspired by yesterday's live event, I wrote this piece right afterward.
I've been on a weight loss journey since late 2021 and I've lost 20 kilograms so far. I've reached 11,5% bodyfat, but I'm working to lowering that percentage. I still have quite a bit of abdominal fat which I would like to lose for health reasons, but also because I want to reach a lean physique.
Dipping into those last few kilograms of fat have produced the strongest cravings which led to some poor choices.
During my weight loss journey I have managed to get rid of a few Mischa's. They are all forms of Evening Bryan who have progressively been refined through my weight loss journey:
I've come far. I am consistently eating a whole foods plant based diet without refined carbohydrates or sugar. I've been vegan for 6 years (with some periods of vegetarianism here and there), and I've been tracking calories since I started my weight loss journey using YAZIO.
I never binge on junk food any more. These days, cheating consists of eating more nuts, raisins, fruits or peanut butter than my daily caloric budget allows. I binge on whole, healthy foods, but they can still lead to stalls in weight loss. Calories will always be calories.

2023.06.05 08:20 Vertigo722 Are herons detected as birds?

I rebuild my pond and put some koi in it. Im worried about herons, its only a matter of time before one discovers my heron fast food fest. Im currently using an outdoor motion sensor that activates a sprinkler, but it has way too many false positives and Im terrorizing my poor cat wanting a drink. I would like to use frigate to detect herons (and other birds, that will be unavoidable, but I can filter most of that out by size) . However, herons dont look much like other birds, especially when they are walking/wading with their wings tucked in, and Im unsure if the default model has been trained on it. Does anyone know?

2023.06.05 08:19 GirlFromPolarExpress Anxiety in my apartment??

Back in college I went through a phase where I felt so uncomfortable in my apartment. It first started with feeling like grossed out by it, (it was an older non renovated apartment for context), even if I cleaned it and then I eventually stopped sitting in the living room, then stopped feeling comfortable cooking in the kitchen and using the fridge, to the point where I only felt safe on my bed.
I hated being home but also was going through a hard time with depression and anxiety in general where I always wanted to retreat to my room since it felt safe and comfortable, until it didn’t.
Got to the point where everything I did had to be done from bed. Sleep work and I would pick up food and eat it in bed.
Fast forward I moved home and felt fine, moved out to my first apartment felt fine, and now fast forward I’m in a new apartment (been living here for 5 months) and it feel this anxiety coming on again.
My building is older similar I guess to the college apartment, and I’m back at the same spot where I can’t get myself to go in my kitchen without feeling grossed out or anxiety and when I get home from work everything again needs to be done from bed.
Anyone else experienced this or maybe have some advice for me?
I don’t plan on renewing my lease here when it’s time so I think I might try to spend a bit more to maybe be in either a newer building or rehabbed/gutted unit to see if this would happen again but I feel like there must be something I can try in the mean time to help with what I’m feeling.
Any thoughts?

2023.06.05 08:07 Coworkersuspension AITA for getting an autistic coworker suspended?

I work in fast food. High intensity, very social job. By social I mean that it requires an employee to not only communicate with a team but also customers. Hundreds of people per day. I’m not autistic but I know autistic people and understand they don't handle that well. In this restaurant, I have 3 Autistic coworkers. The first one who I’ll call “Ali” 15F. The 2nd one “Michael” 16M, and “Mary” 19F. Ali is very high functioning. She does her job well. She interacts well with people, works well with the team, and customers have nothing negative to say about her. Michael is low-functioning. He doesn’t work in the main service area dealing with customers. He just cleans. There isn’t anything wrong with that. He does what he’s capable of. He’s not social but he does a job not many of us like to do and we appreciate him for it. Then there is Mary. Mary doesn’t do her job well. She is capable of it though. I have seen her do it better than most. The issue is that she has gotten lazier. Mary is noticeably autistic. I have no issues with this in of itself. However, Mary uses this fact to exclude herself from any punishments. Customers complain about Mary being moody with them. This is very much true. Mary has random mood swings all the time. Whenever she’s asked by another coworker to do something it tends to trigger it A few days ago a customer complained that Mary yelled at him over a simple ordering mistake. A manager tried to write Mary up but our General Manager told them not to as Mary claimed she had a sensory overload. That is not the first time something like that has happened. I will admit I don’t know what could trigger a sensory overload but that day was a very chill day. Not many customers and it was relatively calm inside. Today there was only one manager on site. I have a higher position than Mary (not a manager but higher up than her and the rest of the crew.) So the manager left me in charge of running things while he went on his lunch break. I asked Mary to put some gloves on and take out all the full trash bags from the bins and replace them with new ones. She replies in an angry tone: “you do it. I won’t do that, it's a dirty job.” I politely replied that I was left in charge and that I was giving an order not asking. At this point Mary yells out that she won’t do it. The manager hears the yelling check on us.I tell him what Mary did. Mary again uses “I’m autistic I’m just overstimulated” excuse she uses a lot. The manager literally walks away and tells me to make someone else do it. This was a breaking point. I called our area supervisor later and tell her what happened. She comes to the store and asks all the employees if what I'm saying is true. They all back me up. Mary starts crying. I tell our supervisor this happens quite often with Mary. My coworkers back me up again. Mary gets a 3 week suspension. Her parents come pick her up from work. They stare at me with furious eyes. AITA?

2023.06.05 08:05 Huge-Marionberry1853 Banned from McDonalds

Never thought I would be banned from a restaurant, but here I am.
Last week I had the worst experience at a McDonalds ever. This one is a no drive, only dine in. There are about 7 other people frantically waiting for orders. One of them is around my age (20) and tells me he’s been waiting for over 30 minutes. I told him that I’m with doordash, and my order was too high quality to drop. I’m standing by the cash register and he’s sitting, waiting for the food he paid for 30 minutes ago.
20 minutes later I’m losing patience. I haven’t been serviced, and even worse I can’t help but notice an order with 3 cokes on a shelf behind the counter—an order eerily similar to my order. One of the older men has had enough, he marches to the register and demands a refund in not so nice language. Languidly one of the employees finally responds; this is the first time I’ve seen them do any service.
I see this as my opportunity to more urgently ask for the employee to hand me the doordash, it’s sitting right there and my clients food is getting cold. Instead of doing the proper consideration, she SNICKERS at me and says they will go at their own pace.
So this is where Ive lost my patience. The shelf with my order is two feet behind the counter, and I step over the line and into the kitchen to grab my order. Finally the two employees react to one of their customers: they start cursing me out and say they will call the cops. I flee the scene to the sound of up roaring applause and three men dancing with their phones.
Anyways, fast forward one week later to today. I wouldn’t have accepted the order if I knew it was this McDonalds, but the pay was good and I decided to swallow the bullet. I wrap myself in a pink sweater to cloak my manly prestige, but the disguise is to no avail.
The rest is pretty boring. The manager comes out and says I can’t come back to the store. I make my case, and say there were other people willing to vouch for me of the mistreatment of the employees, but it is all for naught. I leave here today banned from a McDonalds, and a tiny bit less dignified.
