My thinking is this: had a diagnostic tool been created years ago, I probably wouldn’t have lost a solid 10 years of my life to this or gone through about 20 years of suffering. Diagnosing others earlier will improve women’s quality of life and prevent some unnecessary suffering in the future. I wish this on no one and it pains me to think that other women are perpetually failed by their medical providers due to ignorance and lack of research. But also, if doctors can definitively diagnose endometriosis without surgery first, not only will it cut down on years of struggling to get that diagnosis but it will ensue more women who have it are diagnosed with it and potentially speed up other research for treatments of pain management, surgical techniques and even a cure. Also, for the women who have advanced endometriosis and have had multiple laparoscopic surgeries and it has not fixed their pain, it would be so nice to have more options. I definitely think it’s worth exploring other treatment options. A big part of advancing research is funding but another big part of that is getting enough participants in order to complete the studies on time. If you qualify for any endometriosis studies, and you are able to, please consider participating. Also, if you can’t, that’s ok too. Thanks for reading my post. My daughter and I are going to be homeless in the morning (5/24). We moved here from WV with my tax refund so I could get a better job, and I did. We’ve been in an Airbnb and have to check out tomorrow and my money has run out. Myself, my daughter and 3 dogs with nowhere to go. I don’t get paid until 5/5 and I have $40 in my pocket. Hello there! I guess I'm just another person looking for... well, another person! I'm not really the coolest individual, but I'd love to find a new person to grow close to. Well, I'm a general nerd in most forms; I enjoy a good movie, but I enjoy a bad movie even more. I don't really care for movies that try to be bad though; as weird as it may sound, I sort of desire that added layer of earnest effort. I could never do better, but I still find them fun to watch! I am also an anime fan, as I have been for generally my entire life. I'm mostly a fan of shounen/seinen sorts of anime, but I'll give basically anything a try... so long as it isn't a romance anime. It's kinda hard for me to knowingly get into romance stuff in general, honestly. I am on the autistic spectrum. I guess this can make me a bit awkward to interact with to a degree? Eh, I guess it depends on the person. AMAB, if that matters! Though personally I feel more like a void in space than anything else honestly. He/It if it matters, I guess.
