My fiancé and I had a phone conversation with a photographevideographer after reviewing their website, which seemed legit. I found this vendor on a facebook post. We signed a contract and paid a 40% deposit via PayPal using a credit card.
Since we signed the contract (10 days ago), I have gotten almost daily texts from them including a text at 1:08AM on a week day that I found unprofessional. They messaged me about a promotion to “pay in full now and get a free wedding photo book.” Then, we started receiving invoices in our email for payments with due dates starting within a week after we paid the deposit. We never agreed to a payment plan nor was it discussed or mentioned in the contract. The contract stated the final and full payment is due 30 days before the event.
This vendor then starts texting me non-stop about the invoices. We kept getting new invoices with different dates and amounts every other day. We emailed her regarding this confusion. She continued to text me instead of emailing us back, saying the invoice must be paid and can’t be changed or removed in their system. Then, in my email response, I kindly asked her to only use email for communication as texting is not preferred and only goes to one of us. The next day, she sent another text anyway right after sending another email with a new invoice amount. I requested a phone call to clarify the terms of the contract and these invoices. We had a brief call and I clarified we don’t need to pay now per the contract. But the next day, she sends me another text about a new yet another payment plan option which requires us to make a small payment immediately and to pay the rest “after June 23 or by July 30th at the latest .” According to the contract, the final payment is due by August 3rd. The volume of texts started to feel a bit much by this point.
On a side note, the vendor’s IG only has posts from June 2022 to Sept 2022 with only 66 followers. On Facebook, their photos have no likes. Majority of their website gallery is not posted on their IG.
We’re starting to wonder if they’re a scam or just awfully unprofessional. I can’t find reviews either.

So I got shipped to Korea from AIT and wasn't able to get CSP so I applied in Korea for it long story short it took almost a year for approval. Wife finally arrived in April. I've been trying to fill out a smart voucher for her since she traveled on my GTC. But every time I try and go to submit its kicked back. I've gone to finance twice about the issue but they throw a "whats a smart voucher" paper at me and tell me to get lost.
I'm not sure how it works since my wife wasn't on my original orders and traveled a year later from home to Korea.
Most recent kick back was for "Incomplete Itinerary" saying it needed to reflect my AIT duty station and end with my location. But she was never at that location and traveled from an airport near her to me. So do I just lie? I feel like lying at this point is easier

Context about school: CS major, will attend a top 40 UC with great tier two cs program.( According to uc data alumni income for cs is just a tier below La/Berkeley) Questioning if transferring is a right choice for me. Even if I do, I’d be a Junior transfer for sure( I trolled my second semester senior year and got all Cs, got rejected by most schools the started self sabotaging thinking I was a failure, somehow got in to a good school though :))

Pros of transferring: Better title More access to resources Arguably a better CS program for all the schools I’ve listed. Experience somewhere new, I’ve lived in Southern california all my life.( ignore ucla and usc but I’d still consider them better conditions than my current school as I lived in suburbs) Doesn’t hurt to try? My current school lacks a business department so I have a pretty valid reason to transfer.
Cons Price, I get instate tuition so the extra two years will probably be 100k+ but my parents will pay for it no problemo( really fortunate) Id also spend more if I transfer( read below) I can graduate in 2.5 years at current school( but I wouldn’t actually do it, planned on gapping a year and then graduate regularly) Getting rejected by all the schools I applied agin wouldn’t be a great feeling. There are a few posts in there I was reading this morning that left me pretty shocked.
One post in particular: all the BPD’s in there seemed to be in agreement that their partner should constantly be aware of their list of triggers. They seemed to all agree that their partner should live their entire life with their triggers at the forefront of their mind.
The thing that disturbed me so much is that none of the BPD’s posting comments seemed to consider how tiring and draining it must be for their partners to have to constantly walk on eggshells and conform to their pwBPD’s distorted perceptions of reality. They all just seemed to be in agreement that any good partner should work really hard to not trigger them if they truly loved them.
At the heart of it, it seemed to me that they were all agreeing that their partners should treat them as though they were the center of the universe, constantly comforting them and validating their emotions no matter how unreasonable, and this seemed ok to everyone posting in the sub.
Anyway, if anyone needs a wake up call about BPD, their honesty in this sub about just how self-centered some of them are really shed some light for me…
It seems that extreme self-centeredness is at the core of some people with BPD, but the outside world rarely gets a glimpse of just how bad it is until they are truly honest about it, like in their sub.
I know in my case, I did try my best to constantly be aware of my ex pwBPD’s triggers, and it nearly killed me. I didn’t even have enough mental energy to leave the house most of the time I was so drained. And it didn’t seem to matter anyway. She would always find something to be triggered about no matter how hard I tried.

I’m not sure exposure would work since looking closely and examining my body contributes to the downward spiral and obsessions.
I’ve had this fixation for as long as I can remember; I used to stare at myself in the mirror and find “flaws” to obsess over. I learned to not look too closely and I started using fashion as an outlet. However, whenever my body changes it triggers me. I zone in on changes without trying, and the need to examine and fixate is overwhelming.
This process makes me an anxious wreck and seems unending despite what I do. I eventually fall into a depressive/dissociative state. It’s happened notably several times in my lifetime and seem to coincide with stages in life.
This new one I’m experiencing has been since January, and it started out as me noticing changes on my skin, especially on my face. There is a patch of skin that is especially concerning, and it’s been eating me alive trying to get it resolved. I’ve been to all kinds of doctors, tried different skin routines, makeup, therapy, ignoring it, every kind of treatment you can think of and more. It’s actually been consuming me, and every action, decision and thought I’ve had… for 5 months…
Whenever I’m able to distract myself for a whole day and not look at it, I seem to have a better time. But usually at night it will hit me and the fixation I’ve been holding off floods in and I give into it. I always feel bad for not paying attention to it because it feels like I don’t care or I’m neglecting myself. Even tho I literally have appointments with different doctors, specialists, etc nearly every week.
I feel like no one cares and I don’t know what to do. Am I supposed to not look at myself again??

There was the maddening sensation of your asshole bending over itself, inside out, shrinking, expanding. It was worse than any experience ever. My brain still cannot comprehend the sensations, but they were torturous. I have contemplated what hell might feel like, and I know that I could find peace there. My bed was soaked with shit-coke. Lord, how am I to clean up.

I learned a very valuable lesson that day. Don’t try anything insane. Avoid the asshole.
Also, TIL that the human asshole can stretch 8 centimeters without damage.

I’ve helped my friend out of an abusive relationship and I don’t know how to handle everything it’s throwing at me. I think I’m doing okay, I’m reading the books and doing more research on how to be supportive, but no one tells you how to handle when you buy a plane ticket to get them 4000+ miles away because he threatened to kill her if he ever saw her again and she asked you to help her get out, and then a week later, she’s on the phone with him talking about getting back together. I know it’s part of the process, and it’s not like he’s gonna come get her, plus he already said he wouldn’t buy her ticket home (she got herself here, she can get herself back according to him), and I’m not helping her get back because I know she’ll end up in a coffin. I’m just struggling and I want to be the best friend I can for someone who was serious about escaping, escaped, and is now romanticizing and communicating with her abuser. Any help and advice is appreciated.
