Sargan Eight is a narrow-gauge railway that used to go trough the entire Serbia. It even went to Bulgaria and other countries. Unfortunately, the railway was removed and replaced with roads. As the memorial to the narrow railway, the president decided to not remove the railway on the western mountain of Serbia called Mokra Gora (wet mountain). The ride is short, but has amazing views over the nature. The engines that usually pull the passenger cars are diesel, but at some period, they replace them with one of two most known steam trains in Serbia: Cira and Elza (Elsa on English). Cira is one of the oldest steam trains in Serbia. He was used in the time when there were wars. Cira is most of the times in his outer hangar where tourists can check the old legend. With people on Sargan Eight being afraid that Cira maybe doesn't stop working in the middle of the ride, sometimes he is replaced with Elza, a light/dark blue steam engine. The steam train ride used to be 2000 dinars (marks in Serbia), but now it's 1000 dinars. This is all I know about Sargan Eight and it's history. Ok this is a long shot but I'm hoping someone here can help me out.
I'm 47 and when I was around 15 me, my mom, dad, aunt and uncle hiked the start of the AT from springer mountain. I ended up with a huge blister on my heel so me and my dad pulled out at Woody Gap and the rest went on to finish the rest of the hike. Sometime that day before we got to woody gap we came to this gorgeous granite outcrop where you could look out over the hills below. We loved that spot. My mom and dad always said when they died they wanted to be cremated and their ashes spread there. My dad passed in 2008 and my mom passed away July of last year so my brother and I are planning to spread their ashes here soon before it gets too hot but I can't remember how far from woody gap it was. We may have camped there the night before but it seems like I remember us coming up on it later in the day and taking a break there before moving on to woody gap. I know we got to woody gap around lunch time or a little later and we were going slow because of my foot so I don't think it was a huge distance.

And it seemed like it was going well for a while, that he was actually sticking through it and changing. I had access to all his accounts, we used spy and monitoring apps, all of it. I believed he was sober.
Until last night, I found out he’s been lying the entire time. Ever since he got out of the hospital he’s spent hundreds of dollars on cam girls, onlyfans, and sexual content. Has created new accounts for Instagram, TikTok, Discord, Reddit, Twitter, everywhere. And he has followed all the porn accounts and girls he used to stalk. It was all happening and even more than before he got caught the first time. More intense. He was lying to his sponsor about being sober, lying to me, lying to people in SAA, lying to everyone.
I ended things with him, I feel helpless, I’m so broken. This is the worst kind of pain I have ever felt in my life. It hurts so badly to love someone and have them do all of that to you. I'll preface by saying this question is purely in the United States legal system. I've been an officer going on my 10th year now and every time I see a body camera video of an officer being violent for no reason I always think to myself "I wonder if anyone has ever legally fought back?" I've arrested a handful of active and retired cops in my career but I have the benefit of the system on my side. Simply put has there ever been a case law where an officer has been attacked justifiably based on their actions and the civilian was simply deemed to be protecting themselves with violence of some level ranging from battery to murder? I've googled this several times but you can imagine when you Google things like "justified shooting of police" or "has anyone ever fought back against police legally" you get pretty broad results. I've also asked several other officers and even a local lawyer or two if they have an example but nobody here does. I apologize if this isn't the correct forum for this I checked the rules and I dont think anything has been violated. Again this is purely a curiosity thing.

About a year ago I was working in a foreign country for a few months as part of my degree. This is around the same time I met one of the most amazing people I have in my life at the moment, my girlfriend. I was reaching for something at work when i felt a sharp pain in my shoulder. This pain never really got better. It just got worst. I can’t sleep on my left side, i can’t lift anything, i cant lift my arm, i cant be touched in the area because it hurts so bad. I dealt with it during the remaining time I had in my work placement and decided I would get to it when I moved back home 2 months later. I went for medical help and a couple of scans later I was misdiagnosed and got operated on for the wrong issue. Then I got reexamined and it the results marked it out to be a benign tumor (doesnt spread and is not life threatening) which most probably has been torn during my work a year ago. I have to get this thing removed from my shoulder and it will take months of recovery. For those of you who ask why it’s already been a year. I live in a country where it takes months to get a hospital appointment. The whole process takes a very long time. And there’s often very long waiting lists. While i am very fortunate that it’s not anything life threatening. Im super upset at the realization that I will not be able to move abroad and continue with my career. And enjoy life with my S.O. I had a job and location planned out. I knew where i was going to stay and now all of this is put on hold because of some stupid lump on my shoulder. I know it can be alot worst but the thought of being stuck at home being useless waiting to get this surgery done is killing me. When i do get it done i have months of recovery which i won’t be able to work during. I can’t move abroad and get it done there because I’ll need to work to earn money and pay rent. So I’m just stuck

I can't believe I'm this affected still. I made a comment on a YouTube video over a year ago, and it was about how I felt like the video was kind of sarcastic and hurtful. Like the questions they were directing at some people were meant to provoke.
Anyways, I commented on how I found the video a little hurtful, just sharing my thoughts. I didn't ask for anything, didn't say anything should happen, just shared my thoughts.
People started saying it was just light hearted fun, that I was sheltered and hopeless if I'm getting offended by something like this.
I just put my phone down so I didn't read the rest of their replies.
Now it's past 4:30am and I just can't sleep because their words keep repeating in my head.
"Hopeless... sheltered...wrong...weak". I remember these and it just reminds me of what that inner voice says. I don't know how it is for other people, but my avpd often takes on a voice in my head that doubts my emotions and actions, calling me worthless and pathetic, making me believe that I'm only hurting my friends and that they only keep me around out of pity, because they're good people and I'm a bad person for not just leaving so that I can stop being a burden to them.
These thoughts won't stop now, and I'm just lying in bed, watching as the minutes tick by as I fail to keep this cynical voice in my mind silent.

Told work, nope, not coming in today. Doesn’t impact anyone but me, really. Also, I could feel the rage building up. Inches away from breaking down at the first person crossing my way. So I noped out of that.
Toddler is at daycare. Husband is on a day work trip. I put the dishes away. The sink is clean. Toys put away in bins. The house is quiet. I had coffee without being disturbed. I wrote to a person about something I haven’t had time to do and honestly will not have time to do and I can’t make a priority. And I just told them so. Usually, I would have bent over backward to try to do it, and end up being frustrated because it would not be done to the standard I’d want it to be.
I’ve booked myself a massage therapy session this afternoon. I will phone my best friend this afternoon as well. It’s quiet.
For the first time in what, a year, I feel just about ok.

In just under a month on Thursday the 20th of April, 2023, the people of Western Australia, Timor-Leste, and parts of Indonesia will be able to witness a rare astronomical event - a Total Solar Eclipse. During this event, the Moon will block out the entire disc of the Sun for 62 seconds. This is an incredibly rare occurrence and the first time that it will happen in Western Australia since the 20th of June 1974. The schedule for the eclipse in Exmouth is:
The Total Solar Eclipse will allow astronomers to study the Sun's Corona and Chromosphere. The Corona is the outermost layer of the Sun's atmosphere, made up of hot, ionized gas that extends far beyond the visible surface of the star. The temperature in this region can reach millions of degrees Celsius, making it one of the hottest places in space. Studying the Sun's Corona is essential for understanding how stars interact with their environment and how they evolve over time. It also provides astronomers with an excellent opportunity to study the magnetic fields and how they shape the Corona as well.
There are four types of Solar Eclipses: Total, Annular, Partial, and Hybrid. The Ningaloo 2023 Solar Eclipse is special because it is a rare "Hybrid Eclipse." A hybrid eclipse is a type of solar eclipse that looks like an annular solar eclipse or a total solar eclipse, depending on the observer's location along the central eclipse path. Observers in Exmouth will witness a Total Solar Eclipse during the 62 seconds of darkness as the Moon casts a 41km wide path over Western Australia's Northwest Cape into darkness.
Total Solar Eclipses occur somewhere on Earth about every 18 months. However, experiencing the Sun's corona appearing around the black shadow of the Moon is the highlight of a Total Solar Eclipse event. During totality, the day will become almost night so the stars and planets become visible, the air temperature drops and animals may change their behaviour. In ordinary daylight, the corona of the Sun isn't visible, but it can be seen during a Total Solar Eclipse, it looks like a white halo.
For those who are lucky enough to witness this extraordinary event, it will be an unforgettable experience. However, there are some important tips that people should keep in mind while preparing to witness this rare event. Firstly, never look directly at the Sun with the naked eye as it can cause permanent eye damage, it's worth reading the American Astronomical Society's web page on eye safety and solar eclipses. Secondly, make sure to have reputable solar eclipse glasses. The Perth Observatory ($2.50 each), and Binocentral in Joondalup are recommended for purchasing these glasses.
There is still some accommodation up in Exmouth. The Ningaloo Eclipse website and the Exmouth Solar Eclipse Facebook group page, are excellent for planning your stay up they. Additionally, Time and Date has a great page for details about the eclipse itself. They are expecting between 10,000 to 50,000 people, so it's best to come prepared with food, water, spare tyres, oil, and fuel for the car, as towns may run out of these items. Visitors should also ensure that their car is serviced before the trip and you should avoid parking on long grass when you’re up there to avoid starting fires.
It is important to note that there are many mobile blackspots up north, and visitors should bring first aid kits and an Emergency Personal Locator Beacon just in case they get into trouble. It's best to have a Telstra prepaid sim card if you normally have an Optus or Vodafone sim in your phone. SpaceX's Starlink (Superfast satellite broadband internet) is also now available for the road (https://www.starlink.com/rv) and you can use it now in the Exmouth region. It's also 50% off the hardware currently. it is recommended to space out the trip as it is a long drive to the area.
Perth Observatory will also have a team going up to Exmouth for the Eclipse to live stream the eclipse with our friends at Time and Date, but we will be leaving early to do astronomy nights along the way with Astrotourism WA.
Astrotourism WA has two other teams doing astronomy nights, so we'll be doing astronomy around most of Western Australia:
Exmouth does have three astronomy nights on the 19th, 20th, and 21st of April, and also has the 2022 Astrofest Astrophotography Exhibition for the whole of April at the Tantabiddi Gallery in the Ningaloo Centre, which is free to see. I miss my ex. My ex was an awful boyfriend. He would lie about texting other girls, he'd make me feel crazy for not trusting him. He'd lie and say that he stopped, he'd changed, he hadn't done it in months- he finally saw how wrong and lame it was. I stayed even though he kept doing things like that because he was my first love/first boyfriend and I was very naive. I thought that I was supposed to keep trying to make it work because that what you do when you love someone. Near the end we'd break up, get back together, break up, etc. It felt like we had such a strong emotional connection but he just couldn't keep his eyes on just me. And I understood.
Fast forward to now, I don't talk to him, I leave him on read, his messages have a different message tone so that I know it's him. I did that so that I wouldn't have a heart attack when I see his name randomly. It didn't work, now the message tone gives me anxiety lol. I did that to set boundaries for myself, to successfully distance myself from him and I still have to do it. I had to force myself to stop loving him. It was very hard. I don't think I moved on properly because I had to keep seeing him because of our daughter while I was trying to get over him, and I'd end up under him, and it would always turn out like that. He just knew me.
He's been a mostly absent father. He ran into a lot of money trouble and I know what that's like. He has a mom he sends money to, 3 siblings that ask for his help, and our daughter. He hasn't given child support since September of last year because he was dirt poor. I didn't pressure him. He had a whole mental breakdown, checked himself into a hospital. I then let him stay with me for a week because I've felt how he was feeling and had no help. I don't have any money, I'm late on bills, but I still haven't brought it up.
I know that if he had it a little easier in life he would be involved. Whenever he was around he was a great father. He played effortlessly with our daughter, she'd fall asleep on him every time. He loves being a father. But he sucks at prioritizing her. Friends/parties would always take over and he'd change his mind about coming to see her. Eventually he stopped coming. He'll have random bouts of "I have to see her I miss her so much. She can stay wih me on weekends." I'd say yes only for it to never happen because he'd forget or something came up. That happened so much. And now, if he says he wants to see her or asks me if he can come over to see her, I can't even find the energy to reply. I know what'll happen. I can't even entertain his ideas anymore. It's s waste of time. I know his plans never see the light of day. I'm so so mentally exhausted. One text from him is enough to make me wanna sleep all day, phone off, dead to the world.

And I miss him. I understood him. He wasn't perfect. Asking for monogamy these days is an impossible request. I sometimes wonder why that was so important to me... To kind of force someone to just be with you.. when there's millions of beautiful people around.. I get it. I get why he couldn't stay monogamous. I've figured out that I'm only attracted to people if I have a strong emotional connection with them first. I don't get interested by looks. I don't flirt. He was a social butterfly. I was I kinda introverted. But we clicked. And before things went to shit, we were happy. I just miss him. I wish every day that it could've been different.
I'm just not excited about anything anymore. I was thinking about how peaceful the idea of being buried and done seems. In Canada, they might make it possible for people to have assisted suicide next year based on their mental health. That's all I'm looking forward to. I love my baby. But I've done everything wrong and I'm all alone. I also know I'm not good enough for her. I've failed as a woman, as a mother, as a citizen. I'm useless. I just want to save her from being like me. And I wish my ex was still here to help me through all this. I know that if I asked, he'd show up. But it's hard to look at him when he once meant the world to me. When he used to be everything to me. When he could never prioritise us.

Fast forward to now, I don't talk to him, I leave him on read, his messages have a different message tone so that I know it's him. I did that so that I wouldn't have a heart attack when I see his name randomly. It didn't work, now the message tone gives me anxiety lol. I did that to set boundaries for myself, to successfully distance myself from him and I still have to do it. I had to force myself to stop loving him. It was very hard. I don't think I moved on properly because I had to keep seeing him because of our daughter while I was trying to get over him, and I'd end up under him, and it would always turn out like that. He just knew me.
He's been a mostly absent father. He ran into a lot of money trouble and I know what that's like. He has a mom he sends money to, 3 siblings that ask for his help, and our daughter. He hasn't given child support since September of last year because he was dirt poor. I didn't pressure him. He had a whole mental breakdown, checked himself into a hospital. I then let him stay with me for a week because I've felt how he was feeling and had no help. I don't have any money, I'm late on bills, but I still haven't brought it up.
I know that if he had it a little easier in life he would be involved. Whenever he was around he was a great father. He played effortlessly with our daughter, she'd fall asleep on him every time. He loves being a father. But he sucks at prioritizing her. Friends/parties would always take over and he'd change his mind about coming to see her. Eventually he stopped coming. He'll have random bouts of "I have to see her I miss her so much. She can stay wih me on weekends." I'd say yes only for it to never happen because he'd forget or something came up. That happened so much. And now, if he says he wants to see her or asks me if he can come over to see her, I can't even find the energy to reply. I know what'll happen. I can't even entertain his ideas anymore. It's s waste of time. I know his plans never see the light of day. I'm so so mentally exhausted. One text from him is enough to make me wanna sleep all day, phone off, dead to the world.

19M here. I'll share my story with you guys just so you guys can learn and advice me. They say your character is shaped from your childhood. As a child I was molested and has some bad experiences. My father was an aggressive man. It created a perpetual sense of not having control over my life. I didn't care about myself and always felt empty maybe because of emotional neglect growing up.
I tried searching nudity when i wasn't even in puberty, i believe. I started masturbation as a habit after a few years. I didn't watch porn then. So then, I watching porn. I knew it was very bad but i kept going on. I let myself be destroyed. I did many mistakes in life but most of them I could solve easily. This one has remained my pain for quite a while. Easypeasy method really helped me.
My findings r to give up music fully. Protect you gaze should be a habit, which it may be for many of you guys. But many muslims who don't pmo or mo, don't lower their gazes. Well, they have rhe capacity to control themselves. Even we do, but it's a sin already so why not just not do it. The other thing is fasting. It really helps. Don't eat too much at sehri or aftar. Stay hungry and thirsty, then it would help. Go to Jama'at prayer. It's a lifesaver. Trust me. Go for all 5 prayers. It's obligatory too btw.
Don't talk to girls. Exercise is good. It's important to know that these activities are not exactly what would make you free. It'll build your character so you stay firm.
