I've grown up around women for most of my life. My parents divorced and I spent the majority of my early life with my mom and her friends, my cousins who were both girls, their mother, and my 2 sisters. I naturally have curly hair, I've had it long, I've had it short, I've kept it straight, and right now I wear hats and/or hair ties or beanies most of the time. I have never left those nasty ass globs of hair on the shower walls or curtains. I've had their hair on my pillow cases, on my toothbrush, my towels, in my underwear, and even in socks😭😭

okay so i can always tell when women flirt with me but for some reason i can't tell when men are. i've been going to this bar for about 4 months now and this one bartender NEVER charges me for my drinks. i'm not naming any details about him or the bar bc this will obviously get him in trouble but when i first went, i saw him and i thought he is REALLY hot. so i asked for my drink and gave him my card and he was like "oh it's on the house tonight" and at that time i was like okay whatever cool. went back again like a week later and he said he remembered me and said it was on the house again. i asked him why everything is always on the house and he said "it's not" idk why that made me nervous. so i left. but every time i go there he never charges me and he does talk to me a lot while i'm there. at this point i'm just going there bc i have a crush on him now but i don't wanna keep going if i'm wrong. idk how men flirt 😭 is this just something they do at bars?? this is the first bar i've ever been to.

but like, i can for sure affirm that

• The song is a kind of group prayer or cultural activity, for all the village seems to reunite to sing. it seems very important for them to do that
• They looks as scared of Hatchling as Hatchling is of them, considering they don't know what we are. I can affirm that considering how they react when they see us, being carefully looking at us and coming very slowly, to be sure that we don't pose a threat
• They aren't extremely mean and just want to be alone, considering how they just blow out our lantern when they catch us (instead of like, imprisoning us and torturing us, or trying to eat us alive), a clear message they don't want us with them. Especially when we enter the House of Song. They only resort to actual violence if we try to play smart (Ouch my bones)

so my question is, what would happen if, upon entering the Song House, Hatchling won't just be there awkwardly, but begin to sing in rythm with them ? To enter the Song, as a proof of our peacefulness...
Would they take it as a message of peace ? As us not being ill-intended towards them ? And not instantly try to blow out lantern, tolerating us thanks to the singing ?
Or would they take that as an insult, an uninvited foreigner trying to copy them, to take part of their activities ? Enraging them and making us discover that breaking bones were just the beginning of their wrath ?

Need some advice on an urgent issue. My landlord served me a section 21 notice a couple months ago. It was fully invalid due to a couple reasons, with one being they didn’t protect my deposit within 30 days of me sending it or within 30 days of tenancy starting.
However I had a lot of things going on at the time including some important exams, and didn’t want to be with a landlord who had no empathy whatsoever so decided to move out and not fight or argue the section 21.
This week, I am finally moving out, but my tenancy for this house only ends next week. I work during the week so this weekend was the only time I could do it.
The landlord wanted someone to view the property last week for which I agreed with less than 24 hours notice. Today they have sent an email asking to arrange an inspection, asking for pictures and a video for inspection (what?) and stated that the “prospective tenant” who came last week said the “property was not in a good condition”.
I knew when this person came they probably weren’t a tenant because the property isn’t advertised anywhere. Also the person was a ball of nerves walking around the property.
My question is what can I do here? They are trying to get money from my deposit. Unfortunately for them, the property is in a better condition than when they gave it to me so they won’t have much luck.
Some ideas: - Tell them their section 21 is invalid and to return my deposit asap (wondering if I HAVE to do this in case anyone asks “did you ask for it though?” in the future, since s21 isn’t valid. However also concerned landlord will reverse the section 21 and reset it for 2 months from this week so I’ll be on the hook for rent for another 2 months AND for the new house too) - Say nothing, arrange an inspection and if she finds anything, let TDS do their thing

I live down the street from two frat houses and across from a sorority. Every weekend they walk by as they head down to the bars. And every time a least once a night, they knock over mine and my neighbors fricking trash cans. This spews my trash all over my front yard and porch. At first I thought it was homeless people looking for cans and so I didn’t mind it as much but then I caught them in the act. They ran off laughing. I know they think it’s funny but it’s plain disrespectful. I am a quiet neighbor who minds their own business so I don’t know why they do this. I think that it’s because I live in a crappy looking town house and they think they can walk all over us. It’s all I can afford. I’d move if I could find a better option. I’ve now invested in a $40 door cam to catch them but I hate that I have to do this. It makes me unreasonably mad. I almost feel like a Karen but I’m also a college student and know better than to do something like this. Why are they like this?

My life is a Ferris wheel, it's the circumstances. Too much random shit keeps happening too quickly all at once. I can't catch a fucking break. I have moved houses more than 10 times in the last 2 years. My health keeps fluctuating like a bipolar fuckwit.
Fuck knows what's going to happen next. And you know what the worst part is? I have close to no control over these circumstances, and yet people expect me to succeed.
I am somewhat intelligent, I have a Masters degree from a top 100 University, I have a "white collar" job, but guess what? I'm still fucked.
I'm still broke as fuck, my health has gotten worse for reasons Doctors can't explain, my family still doesn't give a shit about me and I have no friends; still a loner, alone in the weirdest circumstances that no one can relate to.
All I've ever wanted was to be a high functioning Normie; a member of society, someone who is in the same or similar circumstances as the majority, instead of constantly being alone.
All this talk about working hard is just bullshit propaganda; the lucky fucks have it easy, no matter how hard I work, I will never touch their prosperity. The only worse thing than wanting to end it all, is not having the capacity to do so.

Hi everyone, just made a throwaway for this, hope it's in the right place.
Just after some advice for regarding claiming compensation at VCAT.
Basically, our lease started 6 weeks ago, the REA entry condition report didn't list any issues, there were a number of issues which I went through and recorded with pictures and video.
While doing this I noticed mould in a number of rooms, issues with doors not closing properly (I suspect they have warped due to water damage), cracked tiles in the bathroom, and external windows without proper locks. I returned the entry condition report letting them know the issues.
After going through resources on Tenants Victoria and Consumer Affairs Victoria I learnt that the new minimum standards include the property being free of mould at the start of the lease, and require appropriate locks on all external windows. Also that these are considered urgent given the property does not meet the minimum standards without them.
The REA were difficult at every turn but after lodging a breach of duty notice they started to take it more seriously.
Though are lease has started and we are paying rent, we have not moved in due to concerns over the mould on our health.
Once the repairs are complete I was going to request compensation from the REA, based on
65A(1)–premises do not comply with minimum standards and
70(1B)-not provided window locks.
I was going to argue for compensation of the rent we have paid from the start of the lease until the property meets the minimum standards (which it should have at the start of the lease), claim for the costs of keeping our things in storage while we have been waiting for the issues to be addressed, and for our loss of quiet enjoyment of the property, due to not being able to use it.
Just curious if people thought this was reasonable or if I was over-reacting, how VCAT might view this if we end up there, and how best to calculate an amount for the loss of quiet enjoyment?

So I originally posted my theory below but it was early and I wanted to dig a little on why I believe Nichole is at least involved.
I’ll do this in a checklist so it’s not a wall of text:

1. Nichole was the first person we saw who was hanging fliers. But she didn’t even bother going to Maddie’s mom all that time. I know her mother has issues, but you would think if she was so sure she was alive she’d want to maybe check her room, her computer, etc. It also seems like a guilty compulsion/cover to look like she’s worried and really trying to convince others she’s alive, or that she believes she’s alive.
   
2. The photo being liked and her reaction read like a red herring, because it led to a pretty revealing flashback. It showed that Nichole has no qualms stealing, and is a halfway decent thief by stealing a bunch of snacks and drinks from the store. Maddie was missing her phone, her backpack, and her necklace. Someone tricked the teacher into giving “Maddie” money.
   
3. In the flashback at the elevator control room above, Maddie talked about how Nichole’s only two friends are both going away together to a prestigious university and getting out of their shitty town they hate. Maddie commented on her being an amazing artist and Nichole was pretty upset she couldn’t afford to leave or go to art school. Well, blackmailing a teacher out of money could sure help to get her out of town.
   
4. Her thieving behavior and Maddie’s items: first her phone was stolen and her case slapped on. I think Nichole was the one who heard and saw and recorded Claire and Anderson arguing. She temporarily stole Maddie’s phone to text the teacher from her phone (how she knew Maddie had his number hasn’t been revealed but we’ll see) so she could pretend to BE Maddie and blackmailed him into leaving the money for her in a locker.
   
5. Maddie somehow catches Nichole with the money and her phone or something that raises a red flag when she left class to find her mother. She confronts her, Nichole panics, brings her to the boiler room for privacy, panic ensues and Maddie is struck in the head with something.
   
6. Nichole drags her body out thinking she’s dead (because she temporarily did die) and steals her necklace and backpack.
   
7. During the search in the woods Nichole happens to be the one to “stumble” onto Maddie’s movie ticket printout. Which is in incredible condition for being outside in the elements except for a newish muddy footprint. We all know that ticket was in her backpack. So Nichole went on that search specifically to leave fake clues using what she had.
   
8. Now that everyone thinks Maddie might be alive, she leaves her backpack in the abandoned house and tries to set it up to look like Maddie is/was squatting there and that’s who they see in the house.
   
9. The football game. When she is taking Maddie’s mom home, she waits until her mom is in the car before popping the trunk but waits to make sure no one is looking before slyly slipping the boxes in, likely hinting that there is something in her trunk implicating her.
   

Is clear Nichole envies Maddie. She has what she wants, a future out of their small town, a boyfriend, their best friend favors her, the teachers love her. Maybe it became too much.
Knowing this show it’ll be someone we never even suspected but so far I’m going with my gut. If I’m missing anything ….
Also does anyone else ever interact with the custodian besides Simon? Could he be a ghost? Just a small thought I had.

I've been really struggling with time recently. I just want to get my art associates and be over with it, then transfer to my specialized majoschool, I feel so exhausted all the time. Every mon/wed I go to class and draw from 9 am to 6 pm, and tues/thurs/fri I draw from 9 am to 3 pm, then work right after until 6 pm. Outside of class and work, I work on commissions and draw for myself, but even that feels like a chore now. I feel guilty if I play video games, don't draw, or go hang out with my friends outside the house, but then again i also dont wanna totally fill up my weekends with drawing either. I feel like I dont have time for everything I want to do, I end up staying up late drawing or trying to have an hour or two to just relax, and then being tired the next day. Its a cycle that repeats and i really just don't know what to do. I feel like i never have time to myself, going to school full time and then working a part time job. I don't know how or where to start about organizing or prioritizing my time, or what to do in general, especially with this near end of the semester burn out

Hello everyone,
I recently rented an AirBnB in Oregon and I'm being accused of causing $2,500 in damages to the flooring. Let me back up.
Over this past spring break, some friends and I decided to make a trip up the coast toward the Pacific Northwest. We stayed for 3 days and 2 nights, which amounted to slightly under $600. The place was gorgeous, and we had a view of the beach from the living room. All in all the stay was a dream, until 8 days later...
I received a message from the host stating my party scratched the floorboards in what I would describe as the family room. I wish I could post the pictures, but I cannot attach images/videos, so I will attempt to describe the scratches as accurately and unbiasedly as possible. There are visible scratch marks against, what I presume is, wood floorboards. The damage is seen to span 4 floorboards, with each floorboard being about 2 feet in length, and maybe 4 inches in width. The damage is in the form of a few scratches that span about 1.5 square feet--2 square feet max. Lastly, the scratches, while visible, do not appear to be very deep from the pictures.
I received a review from the hosts (management) of the AirBnB wherein they said "Thank you for being a great guest, OP! You're welcome back any time." This made me feel great, since my friends and I worked hard the night prior, and the morning of our checkout to get the place clean and ready for the cleaning crew. Then the property management hired by the host contacted me on Friday... they said a manager found scratches the day that I left (which was the Thursday of the week prior to them contacting me). The pictures provided do indeed show scratches, but I have one main issue with them. There are 4 photos in total, but only 2 are zoomed in on the scratches, and these 2 are the only photos where you can actually see the scratches. The other 2 photos are taken as though the person stood back to get a wide shot of the family room, but either because of the quality or compressing of the image I genuinely cannot make out the scratches on those.
I think this is important because if management consistently takes before and after photos of the rooms in the house after guests leave, couldn't I make the point they don't have good evidence to compare the state of the house with after my stay, and thus making it harder to prove that my stay is what caused the damage?
So, I have questions and points that I would like to discuss with everyone.

1. Do the repair costs seem appropriate for getting scratches repaired on a wood floor?
2. If the 2 zoomed-out photos do not show scratches, could I bring this up in my defense?
3. Has anyone been in a similar situation, and how did AirBnB resolve the situation?
4. How can I defend myself to AirBnB when they have not asked me for my side of the story?

I would like to add that AirBnB's resolution team has contacted me already, but mostly to formally inform me of what the host is alleging. Not once have I been asked about my side of the story, and the team has only mentioned getting more evidence from the host and how they will pay for the damages in the fairest way.

This winter I have had a few deliveries that were unsafe / uncomfortable / difficult. I am in decent shape and not afraid of hard work or anything like that and doing IC is not a difficult job, however there have been some situations where I felt things were unsafe.
The first time was a guy who ordered a whack of tea. Six bulk boxes of loose tea. I go to the house and knock on the door to be greeted by an old lady who explained that the order was to the side entrance. I look down the side of the house and it is all ice. I left it halfway down the side of the house and messaged the guy saying I safely couldn't go any further. He was the no tipper on a double and left me a 1 star review for it.
Another one was a liquor delivery to a house. They had not shoveled or cleaned their walk way or driveway. It was a good 2 feet deep with thick ice on top of it. I had to go up the neighbours driveway and walk across the side lawn to get to their door. The whole front porch was ice too. The house stunk inside and I doubt they had left in weeks.
Another regular order with two cases of water. His apartment was on the 4th floor with no elevator. He REFUSED to come down and open the door for me because I was at the back of the building in the loading zone and not at the front of the building where there was nowhere to park. I had to call IC to get on the phone with him in a 3 way because he refused all of my calls and messages asking to be let in to the building. I had to threaten to return all the items to the store if he didn't come down and unlock the door.
The last one was today. I did a Costco order with two cases of water, a case of Pepsi, a case of Monster and a case of Arizona Ice tea. I get to the house and the request was to leave at the front door and not garage door. The only problem was the very steep and thin stars on the stairway going up. It was a good 30 steps with a small landing that turned 90 degrees. I have bigger feet and my heels hung off each step on the way up. Doing that 6 times with groceries once and each case once, really put oddly placed stress on my knees and front of my feet.
Talking to my wife today she expressed concern about unsafe deliveries. What do you do in these situations? Do you contact IC about it and tell them that it is unsafe? Do you just deliver it the best that you can like I have done? Do you leave it wherever and let the customer figure it out? I'm just trying to find a happy middle ground where I am not being unsafe, but also not pissing off the customer for a bad rating or getting in shit with IC for not doing my job.
