2023.05.29 23:26 BarracudaJazzlike730 Level 600 Review

Level 600 Review
Just reached level 600. Here is my review to date and other thoughts: 1. Took me 798 hrs to reach level 600 2. PS5 . 1st person 3. Probably my second fav game ever. (1st being dark souls 3). 4. Best weapon is longsword. 5. Primarily play in EA east duel servers. The duel servers are incredible fun depending on the players. The toxics have gotten worse over time and no it's not the new players. 6. The original maps are still best 7. Horses are shit. 8. Archers are annoying 9. The lag and glitchiness is getting worse 10. Best advice I can give players in TO is to focus on not dying. If you really concentrate on not dying (play it like it's real life) then you will instinctually learn spacing and situational awareness. 11. Engineer class is under utilized on defense 12. Spawn timers suck on defense 13. Since launch I have to hit the button twice to revive someone haha why is this still unfixed? 14. Console needs key binding and access to chat 15. I still cannot counter stabs and overheads. Just can't figure that out haha 16. Most fun game for large scale multiplayer ever. See ya at lvl 1000

2023.05.29 23:22 ick-vicky Buying native plants online

Hi guys, I began getting into native gardening last May and this year we are increasing our current planting space. I plan on getting most of the new ones from the native nursery Earth Tones (CT). However, they don’t carry all those I was hoping on planting. I’ve been looking for places selling them online but have found it much harder to find ones that sell the straight species (which is to be expected of course). I’m thinking of going with Amanda’s Native Garden but was wondering if any of you had used it or had another place to recommend? For reference, I’m in zone 6a/6b in CT and am looking for flower perennials. Doesn’t matter on shade/sun amount or bloom time; just want an option to buy natives online.

2023.05.29 23:18 gtdinasur Raider help

I'm posting help for all you raiders struggling out there. I see the biggest complaint is "the survivors jump me and I never get a chance to fight back, that's unfair".

Well good news you don't have to fight fair either. People act like a whole team of 7 survivors just magically pop up in their face and it's auto over, it's not. You can literally see on the HUD whenever a survivor uses a DC, if you see that know somebody is either running away from you or towards you. I start by trying to pick off the first person I see come at me with their DC, maybe it works maybe not. But if not don't just let yourself fight survivor after survivor fight you and just get away. When I'm getting my butt handed to me, I don't try to fight the survivor that just jumped in with full dc doing a number to me I fight the teammate that is trying to run away after using DC to fight me. Once you down one survivor stay close, use that person as bait as other survivors try to fight survivors. Either they are going to let their team mate to time out or they go for a revive and a survivor reviving a team mate is the easiest target to hit in the game, boom now you got 2 down.

Let's say though that nobody ever came to help the person who timed out, next strat is to finish off the last person you are fight. Don't let that last person get away their team mates have already fled used their DC and items there is nothing left they can do to help unless they want to risk their life. You have now made your life easier by wasting a couple of their members and hopefully knocked another down giving them that red x.

You are going to lose fights vs a survivor lvl 4 and his coordinated team of a few backing them up. 1st to stop this try to find a dragon ball or a radar. If you have a dragon ball/s they will try hit and run tactics to steal them from you so stay ready. This is good though because it means the survivors are looking for you, now's the time to make them regret that. Down somebody! You shouldn't get 1 v 1'd or 1v2'd it should normally take a team of at least 3 to steal the balls from you. If they do manage to grab them and run kill the people who were left behind to deal with you.

When it does come time to fight a lvl 4 survivor try to take out some of the lower-level teammates so the lvl 4 isn't just allowed to sit back and run away while damaging you/ wasting your time as their team distracts you. We as a community complain about ETM users, there are going to be people scared that want to stay out of sight and want to do whatever it takes to get out alive. So eventually all those dragon change teammates are going to run away or run out of DC.

I know some of you will say "doesn't matter what I do the survivors are going to win" you all should just give up and stop wasting your time trying. For everyone else my advice is get used to maps and raiders and level up your raider's best abilities, it's going to be a harder game when your raider isn't leveled up highly. Next have a game plan. I like to destroy vending machines, search loot crates for radars, blow up building so survivors can't hide in them and use my scouting or ki sensing abilities as much as possible. If I ever find a survivor, I try to make them waste their DC (they won't be ready for a fight anytime soon or they will be forced to use their items/cooldown drink to get ready again). As well you don't always have to chase someone down across the map and spend all your time getting lead along. If they did a good job of escaping move onto the next task.

When finding multiple survivors what I do is target the people who have already been down once, level 0 and level 3 survivors in that order, your goal is to make their teamwork go down the drain. You know what it's like when your fellow survivors are getting messed up early it hurts moral, people will be less likely to pull of heroic acts successfully. The first two in that scenario are easy to down but then why the level 3, you want to take out the biggest threat when people try spreading out and running pick off that level 3.

Most of this was general and sometimes you go vs that 7 team premade of lvl 150's with IT & EF with team work they developed over months of playing together and they get good luck with items in game. But most of us me included are wishing we could get at least 3 new supers or active/passive skill, aren't lvl 150, and don't have premade of 7. I mean switch doesn't even have voice comms.

I just have been seeing a lot of post for months now about people having bad raider games and I don't want to come off as attacking these people who post so figured I'd finally make this. This was all written on a whim so I could be wrong and I will appreciate feedback if you have something constructive. Goodluck to everyone out there and cya in season 3 on Xbox hopefully they give us crossplay someday.

2023.05.29 23:17 JefferyFarnol Xenoblade 3 Final Thoughts (Previous Post Follow-Up)

I made a post a while ago when I had just started Xenoblade 3 and I've now come to the end of it and my opinion is quite different. I liked all the characters and I don't think they are shallow as I originally stated. My problem was that I really struggled to get into it at the beginning and I think that is a side-effect of the barren theme of the world and how long it took for the combat to be fully unlocked, though that theme is appropriate to the story and works well from that perspective. Someone commented on my first post that 3 is a lot more thematic than 2 which really throws you in to a fast-paced story. I think that is right and I enjoyed the darker and more serious tone. If someone does get really immersed and has the time to spend, I think that doing all the little sidequests and exploring the whole map (as I did with 1 and 2) will show that there is a lot of life in it. However, focussing on the main story it did feel like I was tramping through a fairly empty world from colony to colony and I sometimes forgot what my actual aim was (though that might be because I stretched 40 hours of gameplay over six months).
I did sometimes feel that whilst parts of the story were very fleshed-out, other parts which would have been more central in previous games are taken for granted. For instance, the Lucky Seven sword was just given to Noah with very little fanfare unlike the Monado or Aegis - surely a sword that can destroy the flame clocks would not just be lying around like that? It's hinted that Riku has some connection to Nia so maybe that will be explained in the DLC (I haven't played that yet!) That's probably my ultimate impression of the story, that it excells in areas where previous games fell short but the inverse is also true. It came out comparatively quickly after DE and I wonder if that shows in areas that are slightly lacking.
Nevertheless, I thoroughly enjoyed it in the end and I regret that I didn't play it more early on but despite the urge to start Zelda, I started to really love it after chapter 5 and I've not rushed to the finish over the last two weeks. I would say that I think the story and emotion is perhaps the best of the trilogy but other parts of the game felt a bit rushed. I wasn't working when 2 came out so I had all the time in the world to pour over 200 hours into it but that's not the case now and that will also have contributed to my feelings about the game. I did all the Hero Quests and after I complete Zelda I will play the DLC.

2023.05.29 23:17 Iwwa8 When drawing a map is it a must to include every single area?

So my fantasy world map is kind of different, The setting is earth, although lands have been renamed and redesigned however the continents and countries themselves remain,
For more context: Africa is divided to 8 areas, each area has its own cities and states, some areas are important while the rest have little to no important to the story
Do I have to waste my time and energy in drawing those states that make no impact on the story so the map would seem more “clean and detailed”, or should I just ignore it and go on with the important cities.

2023.05.29 23:14 generalamitt Micro-Living in a pod with chemical enhancements is the pinnacle of modern civilization

I do believe I've developed a predilection for pod dwelling, entomophagy and pharmacology.
Call me a minimalist, but there's something to be said for downsizing into a pod. So much more time to devote to the finer things without the fuss of a proper abode. And meal prep? Insects offer a sublime combination of nutrients and expediency. When you shut your eyes, they transport you to a world where their flavor resembles nothing short of delectable popcorn shrimp. I find their earthy undertones simply exquisite.
As for supplements, well, who has the time or temperament to endure the vulgarities of exercise or social engagements without some chemical assistance? The modern conveniences of science afford us so many opportunities to optimize and upgrade, it seems foolish not to partake.
Admittedly, certain contemporaries deride such progressive proclivities as "dystopian." Philistines, the lot of them. They fail to grasp how liberating it is to delegate life's mundane minutiae to the latest technologies and helpers. Once unencumbered by trivial matters like relationships, pursuits and wellbeing, one is at leisure to fully enjoy a life of minimal effort and maximum pleasure.
Dwelling within a minuscule pod entails diminished domestic chores, a conspicuously diminished ecological impact, and a surplus of funds for indulging in an extravagant array of streaming service subscriptions, thereby granting one the luxury of blissfully zoning out while indulging in mind-numbing trash TV.
The future is delightfully, deliberately designed for those bold enough to stop concerning themselves with antiquated notions of freedom or purpose. Aren't technology and progress grand?

2023.05.29 23:14 TommySeashell Psevdis; Siren of Dread

Lore

When he first came to the mortal world, he had no form, and was nothing more than a mass of flesh; he hid himself away from the humans and burrowed deep underground beneath Noxus.
As time passed, he began to feel his hunger grow more insatiable and he was eventually forced to crawl out from underground to feed, slinking through the darkness and shadows to fight the perfect prey.
During the dark of the night he found a lone man exit a tavern and begin staggering his way home down the empty streets, and something about him made the demon's hunger go wild; when he stopped to relieve himself in an empty ally way he snuck up behind him and quickly enveloped him, wrapping his formless body around him and devouring him.
With the man's body added to his own he began to go through a sort of metamorphosis, his body began to gain form; long and gaunt legs and arms, a body that malnourished, and a head with a face that looked eerily like that of the man he consumed, but with the harrowing lack of eyes and nose.
Before he could become accustomed to his new form he smelt something from across the city, a scent similar to his first victim; he followed it and was eventually lead to another man, a soldier that was still dressed in his armor.
He didn't sneak up on him this time, and instead approached him with confidence as his hunger began to grow again; the guard spotted him, and horrified by his appearance he drew his sword and pointed it at him, demanding him to stay back.
Psevdis quietly laughed, and out of what felt like instinct he began to sing a deep harrowing melody, and for some unknown reason, the man lowered and sheathed his sword, as if he had just forgot about him.
When he was close enough, he stopped singing and the guard turned to him, screaming loudly in sheer horror for a mere moment before Psevdis opened his mouth, his neck extending above the soldier, and bit down on him, crushing and breaking through his collarbone as he tore off his head and neck, devouring it before quickly consuming the rest of his body.
When he finished, he went through another metamorphosis as his body grew larger and a second head and neck grew in place of his right arm; as he examined his new form another man came from around the corner, dressed in a black cloak and wielding a lantern who's light shown with him just out of it's reach.
He called out, demanding to know who was there, and claiming he was armed and unafraid, and with that, Psevdis' hunger flared up again and he finally discovered what it was that brought it upon him; the lies and deceit of others.
He started singing his harrowing song again as he approached the man, stopping when he was close enough and quickly devoured him as well, sprouting a third head in place of his left arm; he took the cloak the man was once wearing and dressed himself with it so he could hide in plain sight and wonder the world, sniffing out and hunting down the Liars of Runeterra so he could feed upon them without needing to wait for them to come to him.

2023.05.29 23:14 Sleepingdruid3737 Throne City Changing?

So far I have been lucky enough to take the enemy’s Throne City and kill the leader at the same time, resulting in victory. But what happens if you take a Throne City and the ruler is alive somewhere else on the map? Does one of their other cities become their new Throne City? I haven’t had this come up yet and am curious.

2023.05.29 23:14 FitCardiologist3003 Idea for new assym game, thoughts?

Game title: Midnight
The games story follows a group of teenagers who dare eachother to evoke the main antagonist Mr. Midnight whom is more of a local folk tale than anything else in an abandoned house on the outskirts of their town.
The Antagonist: Mr. Midnight is a combination of the legend of the Midnight Man and Hat Man. His appearance is seemingly a tall man in a black robe with a large black hat.
Gameplay: 6 survivors must survive from 12:00AM until 7:00AM, in the old house without any electricity. The survivors must rely on lighting matches as a limited light source to see through the darkness however they can also find candles in the house as well which work the same as matches but last longer and can be relit up to 3 times.
Mr Midnight Gameplay: While the survivors vision is obscured by darkness you have night vision, your movement is completely quiet and you have 0 terror radius but you are weak to light. If you get in the way of a survivors light source you will immediately disappear, getting teleported to the furthest end of the map. Instead of hitting victims you grab them, if they get grabbed you will pull them into your cloak killing them. Upon dying survivors become one of your shadow minions which just appear as shadow figures, these guys can snatch light sources and briefly highlight survivors for Mr.Midnight by hitting them.
Counterplay: Survivors can find salt shakers to create salt lines or circles on the ground which act as temporary barriers to block Mr. Midnight from them. Mr. Midnight has the special ability to blow out light sources to prevent getting destroyed by players with lights, however this ability has a significant cooldown. Mr. Midnight can disable his minions if they are griefing by being able to kick them into spectator mode.
Notable details: First person, match lighting has a skillcheck MiniGame.

2023.05.29 23:12 HisObstinacy [TotK] The "easy puzzles" critique of the dungeons in BotW and TotK is coming from the right place but it's not the correct argument to make, IMO.

A decent chunk of this sub is pretty disappointed with the dungeons in TotK, as they were with the Divine Beasts of BotW. And I agree with most of the criticisms. They're too short, they're quite lacking in enemy variety, the sense of progression isn't as clear as in other Zelda dungeons, and there's often little need to backtrack since all of the puzzles tend to lie within their own contained spaces. I probably haven't listed all of the common complaints, but these are the ones that come to mind and they're complaints I completely agree with.
However, there's one other complaint that I have never really understood. Supposedly, the individual puzzles in these games are too easy and simple. When I read these criticisms, I have to wonder if those making them played the same Zelda games as myself... because creative individual puzzles tended to be few and far between in the traditional 3D games to the point that I think BotW and TotK pretty much blow them out of the water.
A bold statement to make, no? Well, let's illustrate this by looking at a dungeon generally regarded as being one of the more complex in the 3D Zelda games: Ocarina of Time's infamous Water Temple, of course. I'll give a truncated walkthrough of the temple and whatever puzzles it might contain in the following bullet points.
- The first "puzzle" is just a Triforce on a wall. You've seen this before, so you know exactly what to do: play Zelda's Lullaby. This changes the water level which allows a torch to be lit. Next, you simply use the fire from the torch to light two more torches in the same room.
- The next thing you'll probably do is go to another passage and just push a block. That's it. In the next room, you'll hit a switch that, again, you've seen before. The switch creates geysers that you can hop on to cross to the other side of a pit. An identical switch lies in the next room, but the puzzle is a little more interesting. You have to use your iron boots here or the current will keep moving you around. Simply use your hookshot to hit the switch, open a door, then use the hookshot again on a spot that should be fairly obvious if you were in the right position to hit the switch.
- Another section of the temple has you using your hookshot to get across certain areas. But the spots where you're meant to aim the hookshot are typically right in front of you. There's very little searching going on. Further along, you see yet another switch that you've already seen three times earlier in the dungeon. This time, though, you'll need to hit it with an arrow from afar since the switch's effect doesn't last terribly long. An interesting enough evolution of this mechanic, but still quite trivial.
- Skipping a good chunk of the temple here, the most interesting puzzle IMO is one where you have to alternate between raising and lowering the water level of the room in order to make certain statues rise or sink, which reveal their hookshot targets. It's not a difficult puzzle at all since everything is pretty clearly spelled out to you, but I give it points for creativity at least.
I don't think I should have to spell out the rest of the dungeon because that last puzzle is as complicated as it gets for the Water Temple, and the dungeon item is just a longer hookshot so the puzzles don't really change too much from here on out. The parts I skipped over up to now largely had to do with using bombs on obviously cracked walls, hitting clear hookshot targets, or simply fighting enemies for keys, which doesn't really fall into the realm of puzzle-solving.
Let's contrast these with the puzzles in the Wind Temple of TotK, certainly one of the simpler dungeons in the game if not the simplest. I'll just list a few here.
- You might head to the top of the dungeon and use Ultrahand to open a massive trapdoor. Below is a corridor with several lasers. Here, you should get around those lasers by opening and closing the paraglider so as to navigate around easier and mitigate fall damage.
- There are two doors near the front of the dungeon, and both seem to require pulling a lever to operate. However, the one you actually need to get through has a lever that doesn't work... it's just not long enough. You can, however, use Ultrahand to grab a nearby icicle, stick it to the lever, and then move the whole thing. The trick here is realizing that Ultrahand actually works on the icicles if you haven't already figured that out.
- Below the main deck, there are several gears that seem to operate another door. One side of the mechanism isn't moving, though, because it's not connected to the other side. The trick is to look up and shoot down an icicle, then lodge that to the moving gear in such a way that the other side of the icicle just touches the still mechanism and moves it. A rather interesting puzzle, I think.
- Another puzzle features a windmill lacking its blades. Use Ultrahand to stick blades together so that they form a propeller, then use Tulin's ability to blow the new windmill and activate a door.
The last two puzzles (particularly the third), I think, are more mechanically engaging than any in the Water Temple, and even the first two would fit in quite nicely among the Water Temple's more interesting puzzles in terms of difficulty... so much for easier puzzles. If we're only considering creativity alone without regard for difficulty, then all four of them are well beyond the Water Temple. Only the statue puzzle in the Water Temple really stands a chance here. The other dungeons in OoT are even weaker on the individual puzzle front except maybe the Forest Temple... and this is a game that is generally regarded as having some of the most interesting dungeons in the series. Bringing other games into the comparison here, MM isn't a whole lot tougher than OoT on the individual puzzle front except for maybe Great Bay Temple and its numerous stray fairies. WW and TP are definite steps down in difficulty, especially WW. SS, however, has some promising individual puzzles, I will concede.
So, circling back to the Water Temple, what's the deal here? The Water Temple's puzzles are pretty thoroughly outclassed here, as has been made clear. Yet I doubt anyone would argue that the Wind Temple is a trickier dungeon to complete. On the contrary, it's pretty easy. And while I don't think the Water Temple is as difficult as some may believe, it's definitely leagues ahead of the Wind Temple.
In truth, the individual puzzles were not what made the Water Temple difficult in the first place, and this is true of most 3D Zelda dungeons prior to BotW. To clear a room, one usually had to light a few obvious torches or hit a hookshot target that might as well have had a neon sign hanging over it. Not always, but usually. What made the dungeons difficult was figuring out which room you had to reach in the first place. If there are three locked doors and you only have two keys, where could that missing link possibly be located, and how would you even go about get there from where you currently are in the dungeon? There were also many intra-dungeon mechanics like changing the water level which I wouldn't consider an individual puzzle but rather a mechanic that affected almost every aspect of the dungeon. If I did so-and-so thing here, which paths would this open and which paths would this block? So not really puzzle-solving but navigation was the tricky part of the old Zelda dungeons.
BotW and TotK, on the other hand, indisputably have the most creative puzzles in the entire franchise, and many are far more challenging than your usual torch-lighting or switch-pressing Zelda shenanigans since they often incorporate several aspects of the game and rely heavily on one's spatial thinking and understanding of the physics engine. And the one shrine in BotW that actually did heavily feature the torch-lighting mechanic implemented it in puzzles that frankly left every other game in the dust (see here). Even cheesing the puzzles often requires a sufficiently deep knowledge of the game's mechanics that goes beyond simply knowing where to aim the hookshot (the Fire Temple in TotK is the one big exception to this, I think). However, these dungeons sacrifice the complex layouts and gated objectives that once forced players to really stop and think about where they needed to go and what they needed to get in the dungeons. There's only one gate that leads to the boss and the objectives are marked on the map for you, so it's not an imposing labyrinth anymore; it's five branching paths that hardly ever overlap with each other (the Fire Temple is another exception here).
THAT is what makes them easier dungeons overall, even though the individual puzzles themselves are mostly better than those of other games. So, to return to the post's title, the argument that these new dungeons are considerably easier is perfectly valid, but I would not pin the blame to the puzzles for this one. If anything, they're more interesting than ever and I would really look forward to a Zelda dungeon that has such fascinating puzzles while retaining the complex layouts and gated objectives of past dungeons. Make them longer too... while the puzzles themselves are great, there aren't enough of them to keep me very busy.

2023.05.29 23:08 Ch40sRage The First Clash: A game-defining moment

In the games I've played since the 7.33 patch came out, I've noticed one common thread in every game. For context, I'm an uncalibrated former 3.5k player who has partied with divines and partied with crusaders, and this aspect is the same across all of those games.
After around 10 minutes comes the first clash. Sure, there are ganks before 10 mins by the mids or support rotations, but I'm talking about a clash where everyone is grouping in one part of the map and LOTS of resources are thrown from both sides. We're talking multiple cores and both supports showing up for both teams.
The winner of this clash usually goes on to control the tempo for the next ten minutes of the game, and has free reign to take outer towers, threaten tier 2s (but usually not take them yet), and contest wisdom runes / tormentors. This is a HUGE advantage if used properly and not counterplayed. The loser of this clash usually goes on to split the map in an attempt to farm, but can sometimes hemmorage more deaths when players attempt to defend T1 towers or farm too deep and are caught by the snowballing enemy team. The members of the team who lose the clash might also be more mentally unwilling to group against the enemy, making it even harder to take advantage of a possible powerspike- or even wasting a powerspike (for example, getting ults on supports but since your core won't join, you can't take advantage of this).
Here are some tips to help your team win the "First Clash": As a support, prioritize wisdom runes, make sure your HP and mana are topped off, and have TP ready. Saving a ward or two for zone control is absolutely necessary. If the enemy has invisible heroes, it's your responsibility to make sure you have dust! If you can spare the gold, buy a couple blood grenades. As core, find what items make you able to contest the enemy. Know that even if you win your lane, you may still lose the first clash if you show up too late or don't show up at all. If you don't show up, you better have a DAMN good reason not to- is it because you lost your lane and got clapped? Encourage your team to delay the first clash until you get a powerspike like Mars 6 or Jugg 6. If you are trying to farm, make sure you can apply pressure similar to what the enemy team is applying.
I just wanted to post my thoughts. Have you guys noticed the same thing? Am I missing something?

____________________________________________________
*** CHAPTER 26 **\*
Traveling to the warehouse, Logan felt relieved knowing Melissa was in good hands, but his momentary comfort was quickly replaced with apprehension when he arrived at Hoffman’s lair. Checking his surroundings, Logan was unfamiliar with this place, despite living here for over a decade. Stopping the car, he tilted the visor down and looked at the photo of his wife.
Through the security camera positioned outside, Hoffman watched Logan enter the parking lot and smiled. He grabbed the bottle of chloroform that sat next to the aqua green box and a cloth from the table, then switched on the furnace. Walking towards the entrance, he turned off all the lights except the one shining on Elanor, who sat unconscious beneath the aluminum dispenser.
Walking towards the entrance, Logan removed a tactical knife from his pocket and held it surreptitiously. Finding the door unlocked, he breached the doorway and stepped into the building, his chest full of anxiety. Logan shuffled through the inoperable machines, boxes, and various tools until he found Elanor under the strobe light. On the floor, he noticed the chrome pool of aluminum that had dried and discovered the dispenser above her. Quickly pulling the chair out of reach, he removed the gag from her mouth just as the liquid started to pour.
Slipping out of the darkness, Hoffman watched as Logan attempted to cut through the ropes that bound Elanor, and while he was distracted, Hoffman slammed the grip of his gun into the back of Logan’s head with traumatic force. Falling to the floor, rattled and disoriented, Hoffman used this moment to render him unconscious with a considerable dose of chloroform.

Seth’s body is brought to the triage center, where the on-call doctors get to work. They extract the bullet from his neck and clean the wound. Then, fill several vials with his coagulating blood and immediately begin several tests. It doesn’t take long for them to find something unusual in his blood. The pathologist examines the results and calls the precinct.
Waiting to hear from Agent Kullen, Lincoln left a message for Autumn and contacted the patrol unit, which was watching over her. They spoke briefly and assured him she would be brought to the station as soon as possible.
With her safety guaranteed, he reached out to the crew sent to Gavin Beck’s residence. They informed him that an officer was found in the garage with his arms, legs, and mouth wrapped in duct tape, but he was still alive, suffering from a major contusion on his head. He was currently being transported to the hospital for evaluation.
Fixing his posture, Lincoln loosened the cilice, providing a moment of comfort, and sank into his chair. Through the window, he caught another glimpse of the remaining survivors. Obstructing his view and thoughts, Marlow entered his office.
“Linc,” he says, “I’ve been in touch with Agent Webb. She’s in recovery and would like updates on the case. Additionally, I’ve been in contact with Dr. Steward’s wife and son. They’re both okay. Presumably an empty threat. The same for Renee’s family.”
Lincoln squints his eyes, contemplating, and suggests, “They didn’t fit the code.”
Marlow shrugs and is about to speak when a call comes through, “Detective,” the pathologist says, “Please come to the triage center at once. There’s something you should see.”
Taking his jacket from the chair, they leave the room hastily and head next door, cutting a path through the other corpses, beelining for Seth’s cadaver. The site of the body hits Lincoln in the gut. They shared a long history, and this wasn’t how he imagined their friendship would end. Saddened by the loss, Lincoln backed away and placed his hands in his pockets.
Inside, he found the last canister of Nitrous Oxide, which he had forgotten about. Already inserted into the cracker, it was taunting him. With the pain of losing another friend, Lincoln’s urge to use was returning, and he felt he would never escape its grasp. Checking for an exit, Lincoln was about to give in to his compulsion when he caught sight of the pathologist using a centrifuge.
Detailing her findings into a computer, she greets Lincoln, “Thank you for coming.”
“What did you find?”
Moving around the device, she grabs a portfolio and takes a blood-filled vial from the rack. She hands the vial to Lincoln and says, “When we ran the first test, I found Seth’s blood was contaminated with some sort of bacteria.”
Holding up the vial and looking closely, “Agent Kullen said he was sick….” Lincoln explains.
Her expression is one of doubt, “I checked that too, but these cells reacted differently than a common cold. It’s microbial.”
Turning a page in the portfolio, she removes another vial from the rack that is filled with green fluid.
“Do you recognize this?” She asks.
Swapping vials, Lincoln shakes the cylinder and watches the fluid splash against the walls.
The pathologist elaborates, “It was confiscated from Dr. Gordon’s apartment.”
“So?”
“Well, Detective, my theory is that poison not dissimilar to this was injected into Seth’s body. I’m certain we will find an entry point with a little more time.”
Handing the vial back to the pathologist, Lincoln displays concern.
He says, “Have Logan assist you with the autopsy. Find the entry point and get back to me.”
Confusion drapes the pathologist, “Logan isn’t here, Detective. I thought you knew that.”
“Fine, get Elanor on it immediately.”
“I’m sorry, Lincoln, but she’s not here either.”
Marlow looks worried, and Lincoln says, “What are you talking about?”
“The on-call Doctors are here because Logan and Elanor never came in. I assumed they requested a break….”
Lincoln pushes past the physician, and Marlow tries to keep up. “Get a unit to Logan and Elanor’s addresses.” He says, “If you can’t get in touch with anyone, I want an APB out within the hour.”
“Chief Savino?”
“My orders, just do it.”
They enter the precinct, and Lincoln breaks off from Marlow, heading to his office while Marlow requests the attention of the other officers. Perched in the seats, eyes fixed, they await instructions. He explains, “Two of our colleagues are missing, Logan Nelson and Elanor Bonneville. Logan was last seen leaving the precinct between 7 pm and 8 pm last night. We must track them down as soon as possible.”
Listening to Marlow in the distance, Lincoln paces his office, trying to call Autumn. He leaves another message and fidgets with the Nitrous Oxide in his pocket. Needing a distraction, he contacts Agent Kullen.
**\*
Outside the Convention Center, Agent Kullen acquired an identical parking slip to the one they procured from Seth. He stood beside his vehicle, surveying the surroundings, taking mental notes of the area, including the security cameras and the construction site for the museum across the street then headed inside.
At the front desk, he finds two staff members and security personnel. Flashing his badge, he requests to see the surveillance footage taken from the last forty-eight hours. They informed him that a power outage corrupted the data, and the footage was essentially erased. Incensed by the revelation, Kullen shows them a picture of Seth Steward and asks if they’ve seen him on the property. The security guard holds the photo close to his face and recognizes the man. He saw him the night before, smoking in the parking lot, but he never entered the building.
Kullen’s stomach churned, and his hand twitched as he exited the convention center. Retrieving his medication from the car, Kullen consumed two pills and evaluated his surroundings once more. Walking towards the street, he looked up and down the road diligently.
Near the shoulder, across the street, he saw something glistening off the sun. About to head over, a call rang through his cell, “Kullen,” he said, still curious about the object.
“It’s me.”
Hearing the Detective's unsettled tone, Agent Kullen asks, “Lincoln, what’s going on?”
“Elanor and Logan are missing. Marlow is pursuing leads. Where are you?”
Crossing the street, Kullen discovers the reflective object to be a broken padlock. He carries the item towards the gate and says, “I’m near the Convention Center.”
He stops at the entrance and discovers that a new padlock has replaced the broken one. Suspicious, he looks to the Convention Center and then back to the gate.
Overwhelmed by his sudden emotions, Lincoln pushes through a fog of anxiety and asks, “Have you found anything?”
Kullen tilts the new lock in his direction and discovers a keyhole. “Send a team to the museum, now.”
Quickly returning to his vehicle, Kullen starts the ignition and drives towards the parking lot's exit. He waits anxiously for the road to clear before pulling out onto the street. When he reaches the gate, he makes a sharp turn and slams his foot into the accelerator. Crashing through the barrier, he speeds toward the construction site.
Pedestrians outside the Community Center observe the unexpected breach and appear excited and perplexed, with at least one individual phoning 9-1-1.
*** CHAPTER 27 **\*
Sitting at his workstation, watching the news, Hoffman can hear Elanor’s muffled cries for help. In front of her, she could see the limp body of Logan, handcuffed to a metal fixture that Hoffman bolted to the floor below the aluminum faucet. Pleading for him to wake up, she quivered in fear.
Unaffected, Hoffman increased the volume of the television. Showing footage of the National History Museum from a helicopter, it was reported that a new game had been discovered. In the video, Hoffman saw several cop cars and news vans positioned outside the building. They revealed that triggers and tripwires had been placed throughout the museum, preventing safe entry.
Photos of the victims flash on the screen, and Hoffman sees Renee Walsh, a test subject of John Kramer, who he had captured over a decade ago. For her game, John requested an eye for an eye, forcing her to remove the organ with a sharpened spoon. Unbeknownst to Jigsaw, Dr. Gordon provided a numbing agent for Renee that would aid her in the endeavor.
Hoffman’s eyes glazed over, and the memories of previous games rushed to his mind. Staring through the television, he heard a voice.
Hovering over his shoulder was the rotting corpse of Amanda Young, who said, “Hello, Mark….”
“You’re dead,” he replied calmly.
Watching the news, Amanda folded her pale arms and said, “I know it’s hard to concentrate.”
Having been haunted by these hallucinations since he escaped the bathroom, Hoffman felt exhausted and tortured, “Why?” He said, his voice drained of emotion. “Why are you still here?”
Amanda stared out the window while Hoffman watched the blood ooze from her neck, and she said, “By creating a legacy, by living a life worth remembering, you become immortal.”
“When this is over, you’ll be gone….”
Smiling, Amanda responds defiantly, “Somehow, I doubt that.”
Photos of John Kramer are displayed on the television, followed by images of Dr. Gordon.
Seeing the pictures, Hoffman remembered sending letters to various news stations, hospitals, and local law enforcement, implicating Lawrence Gordon as an accomplice. For many years, he had planned his revenge on the Doctor, which started by exposing his true identity. However, with Gordon’s upstanding reputation, the implications were deemed a slanderous rumor, and nothing ever came of it.
Now with Gordon gone, only one obstacle remained; there was only one accomplice left; Logan Nelson.
*** CHAPTER 28 **\*
The sun is chased out of the sky by a flurry of dark clouds, creating a reddish-black horizon. An aft beautiful sight, if not for the crowd that has formed outside the precinct. Families of the deceased Jigsaw victims have led a throng of supporters to the parking lot, where they demand an end to Jigsaw’s legacy and the police department that has allowed this to go on for so long.
Among the swarm of bodies are the ex-husband and children of Sarah Harper.
Inside, Chief Savino preps a SWAT team on the situation at the museum, reminding them to be wary of traps, and displays a picture of Hoffman on the television for each of them to memorize. He insists that no one enter the museum until all the traps have been disarmed.
After the speech, Lincoln is informed that Autumn has arrived at her house and is collecting her belongings. The officer estimates that they will reach the precinct within the hour. With one problem solved, Lincoln allows himself a moment of comfort. When he is about to leave, Marlow approaches with more good news.
“We just spoke to Cameron, Logan’s Mother-in-Law,” He says, “She has Melissa, they’re fine, and Logan left around 7 am this morning.”
“Did she say where he was going?”
“He said he was going to work but to contact you if there’s trouble. Chances are he’s inside the museum with the others.”
Lincoln considers the possibilities and says, “Let’s retrace his steps. He took his vehicle, right? I don’t care how long it takes, pull CCTV, check gas stations in the vicinity, schools, everything. If we can triangulate his phone, do it. Find him."
“I will, sir,” Marlow says, without moving, "What about him?"
Lincoln glances at Daniel inside the Infirmary, “He doesn't leave my sight," he says.
“Sir?"
“What other options do we have? I'm not losing anyone else."
Forgoing his apprehension, Marlow said, “It’s your call, Lincoln.”
Within twenty minutes, Lincoln arrives at the museum with a SWAT team. Staring at the building, he feels a sudden surge of anxiety, dread, and a strange sense of relief, knowing this will all be over soon.
“Are you okay?” a voice asks.
His eyes move to the rearview mirror, and Lincoln can see Daniel Matthews in the back seat. Still awaiting a response from Autumn, Lincoln checks his cellphone and re-reads his message to Lynn.
“I'm ready for this to be over,” he said, tightening the cilice around his waist.
Looking through the window at the commotion outside the museum, Daniel responds, “This isn't your fault, Detective.”
Reminded of his conversation with Seth Steward, Lincoln ignores the words, "Let's go."
Both men exit the vehicle, and Marlow joins them.
"Kullen is sending in a bomb squad," Marlow said, "We've set up an observation terminal towards the south entrance. I'll move the witness there."
As the men separate, Daniel, notices the news crews positioned themselves just outside the parking lot. He stares at them approvingly.
Lincoln waded through his grief and reached Agent Marlow, who was relaying a message via radio.
“Get it done,” Kullen said.
Standing with the Agent, Lincoln asks for a breakdown of the situation.
“Come with me.”
Lincoln follows Kullen towards a police car, and the Agent removes the museum floor plans from his pocket. He lays the map on the car's hood and specifies the trap locations.
“The entrances are blocked off,” he said, “There’s no way through. Now, I’ve got a team working to deactivate the traps, but it’s going to take some time.”
“Have you had any communication with the survivors?”
Drawing a line on the map with his finger, Kullen says, “Not yet, but I’ve spoken with the construction crew, and they’re building an expansion right over here.”

Bro I feel depleted playing this game. I have 3.3k hours, played In groups but now as a solo for about a year now & it’s horrible. I’m good at shooter based games like cod, apex, csgo etc. I have never played a game that is so poorly executed in my life. Shooting a bow to even a tommy is hard. Don’t come at me with that skill issue shit cause I’m a real ps5 player with a TikTok with tons a videos of my pvp but man this game is different. I lost that “fire” to even play. I get on weekly servers because your bound to get offlined on a monthly by a group of fucking 12 year olds who fucking wake and bake this game lol. We NEED SOLO SERVERS. Fuck duo and trio, leave them on the regular servers. There is a large player base of solos that play and have a horrible time because we don’t have the transportation, monuments & AND FUCKING MAP SIZE to play evenly against teams. Double 11 is one of the worst teams to be in charge of rust, one of the most popular games out now, only to be a shit product by a bunch of fucking lazy ass devs. There I spoke my peace lol.

Best Bros (Mei Suruga 🍎 & Baliyan Akki ♠️)

VS

Sayaka 👗 & Miya Yotsuba 🍀 , Kaori Yoneyama 🍚 & Minoru Fujita 🐦, EGG TART (Chie Koishikawa 🏵️ & Hagane Shinno ⚔️), Black Comaneci (Tokiko “Otoki” Kirihara 💃 & Antonio Honda 🍯), UMA (Sayaka Obihiro 💙 & kojio 🏰)

Best Bros Birthday Special Tag Gauntlet

We're going to be celebrating the birthdays of both the Best Bros once again! (Both of them were actually born on the same day: May 30th! Keep in mind, we're half a day behind Japan's time zone!) Baliyan Akki & Mei Suruga are team with unrivaled chemistry, a pair of rivals turned partners that have risen to the top of the tag division of Ichigaya (in a string of spectacular bouts) and have even taken down some powerful guests! Mei Suruga is a pin specialist and submission connoisseur (not to mention a total goblin), having recently celebrated her Fifth Anniversary (and the appearance of her second Trainee!). Mei is incredibly gifted at pro-wrestling, undoubtedly destined for greatness in the Joshi scene...though she has her eyes set on a different prize: popularity across the world! Baliyan Akki is the Ace of the promotion, a breezy elite level technician who excels at everything that is put in front of him. The way he strings techniques together is truly breath taking. He is at the top of the food chain for a reason, and it is only a matter of time before he holds a belt again! The way these two different mentalities flow together creates a perfect synergy in the ring. Even with their excellent team attacks, individual specializations, and boundless creativity, they will still be in for a brutal challenge.
Just like most celebrations in the Chocolate Square, this one will be quite violent! While there isn’t the threat of a mystery team this time, the random order of enemies makes it hard to prepare. Can they take down five of ChocoPro’s great teams in one go? Can they beat their old score? Will Mei bite someone? Tune in to find out! They will be facing (in no particular order) in 10 minute bouts:
Sayaka & Miya Yotsuba in a first time pairing! Smiling Violence and Ichigaya’s Lucky Charms are both know for their powerful striking ability and tend to compete with one another on how hard they can hit! How will the Bros endure both of the Chocolate Square’s Heavy Hitters in one match?
Kaori Yoneyama & Minoru Fujita, Two of the most frequent guests of the promotion! These two crafty veterans have both held gold in Gatoh Move and together should be an absolute menace. Buckle up for some high technical ability and dirty tricks!
EGG TART (Chie Koishikawa & Hagane Shinno) are one of the longest rivals of the Best Bros! With the speedhouse striker “Ace of the Fourth Generation” Chie and the merciless “Cold Killer” and Super Asia Champ Hagane, this will probably be one of the highest threats in the gauntlet. Expect some spice here!
Black Comaneci (Tokiko “Otoki” Kirihara & Antonio Honda) are entirely unpredictable and could very well show up in a form we’ve never seen. Though this team favors comedic antics, it should be noted that most of the comedy comes in the form of brutal slapstick and shocking weapons. It should be noted that Tokiko kicks very hard. Comaneci!
UMA (Sayaka Obihiro & kojio) represent the invading Monsters in this one. Can the charismatic veteran and the mysterious dark hero utilize their own unnatural chemistry against the Birthday Bros? These two have been impressing with their ability to adapt and overcome setbacks. Also, they are monsters.

Here are some Frequently Asked Questions:

“What is this?”

ChocoPro is a free online promotion run by AEW's Emi Sakura, that takes place in the legendary Ichigaya Chocolate Square! It features a steady pace of live Episode releases, fan interaction, season long story arcs, and much more! A place where the turnbuckles are replaced with 14th floor windows, the ropes are often replaced with fans, unforgiving walls provide creative avenues for skills otherwise unthinkable, and you can take solace in knowing that the referees usually do nothing. While it might be a shocking change at first, the intensity and storytelling will leave you wanting more.

“Why are they fighting in ____?”

Short answer is that it is a cost effective, unique venue with a better availability schedule and allows the roster access for training. Emi Sakura has been using this place for a long time, and you might be surprised at some of the names that have used it (even outside of ChocoPro!). There are a few in-ring Episodes and Gatoh Move has in ring shows with crowds on the YouTube channel. Think of it like the Hart Dungeon but as a promotion, if that helps!

”What are the rules?”

While special match stipulations will usually be explained before the respective matches, the general rules of ChocoPro are simple. Pins only count on the Chocolate Mat and are not broken by the edge or Wall. Submissions usually only count on the Chocolate Mat, and ARE broken by reaching the edge or wall (sometimes ceiling...). Double pins and Double submissions are legal (and encouraged) in ChocoPro Tag matches, meaning cohesive teams will always have the advantage! Count Outs only exist if specified, since many matches stray from the comfort of the Chocolate Square into the streets (and the rest of the building itself!) There is a Time Limit for each bout (based on card placement and importance) and the Referee has discretion (even if they tend to do nothing most of the time!). Every Ref is different, some have different levels of bias and speed.

“How can I support them?”

Watch the show! Even if you can't see it live, the views matter! Like & Subscribe! You can join the Channel's membership for different tiers of perks...but also, you can buy single episode Sponsorship, Digital autographed photos, and more on their shop site as well as purchase shirts from PWTees (which features some great options!) If you'd like to donate or purchase a main wall sponsorship, you can via Paypal or Patreon...and don't forget to cheer for your favorites! (especially if you want to do a superchat!)

”How come there aren’t a lot of comments on the threads?”

ChocoPro is a YouTube show, meaning the discourse happens live...in the chat! Those that comment in the threads on here tend to do so in order to help new viewers that might be intimidated by the fast moving chat. Don’t be afraid to just dive in though, the community is friendly.

“Why are you posting this here? / Are you paid for this?”

This is a wrestling forum, and I'm trying to broaden the horizons of others! There is a lot of good wrestling out there...Plus growing the fan base means more people for me to joke around with! I honestly do believe this is what a lot of fans are looking for, even if it is too different for some! But different tastes are good. Variety is the spice of life. This is a labor of love (it really doesn't take that long) considering how much work they do to put on so many shows...for free!
If you have any other questions, feel free to ask me on here or on Twitter, where I’m probably a bit tired! ChocoPro is a Gauntlet again!
